An Invitation From Dr. Art Langer
Powering The Energy-Efficient Data Center
One of the hottest IT topics is how to reduce the power consumed by data centers - and for good reason. Data centers now consume 1.5% of the nation's electricity. And the EPA has called for a dramatic reduction in the energy used by server farms and other computer and communications systems.
But what can IT professionals do?
Columbia University Professor, Dr. Arthur Langer will be hosting a panel of IT experts who will provide practical answers to the problem of data center energy usage.
Dr. Langer and the panelists will offer best practices to achieving real, quantifiable results today - from choosing the most efficient IT equipment to virtualization to alternative cooling technologies.
